My Baby's New Kicks

I just couldn't help but share my baby's new shoes. These are just so adorable on her. She wants to wear these ALL the time. She's even napped in them and that is really unusual since she ALWAYS takes off her shoes before she goes to bed. These are totally her personality!

6 Years of Saving!

The two oldest kids and I did a LOT of coin sorting. We have been collecting coins for that last 5 or 6 years in a water jug. We told the kids that this was going to be our vacation money. When the jug got full we would cash all the coins in and take them on a vacation. Well, the jug got full and we spent a good couple of hours sorting money.

First we dumped some change into these small plates. My son was in charge of taking all the pennies out of his plate while my daughter and I sorted what was on our plates AND what was left over in brother’s plate.

This was our sorting system.

When the cup got full, the coins were emptied into these sandwich bags.

We did find a few “treasures” while sorting out the coins.

Oh, just in case you were wondering how big the jug is. Here it is.

And so…..we cashed in our savings and this little jug was holding about $284 in change!!

CHA CHING!

So we will be taking the kids to California for a few days in October. They are so excited.

Back to School

Well it's time for a new school year already. It's hard to believe that I have a 4th grader and a 1st grader!! Boy does time FLY! Here are a few pics from our first day back to school.

Alex was all ready to get to school. He couldn't wait to get out of the door.

I can't believe it is time for Baby "C's" 6 month portraits! I am just blown away at how much she has grown since our last session. What a cute little cookie she is! At our last encounter Baby "C" was not giving away smiles for free but this time she was ALL smiles!! I've included some of my favorite expressions of Baby "C" from the session.
